Dublin Billy & Mick the Rotweiller

Without the survival of Edge Lane Allotments, these 2 fantastic characters would have nothing but the pub on their doorstep. This wonderful oasis of tranquility and beauty is what keeps these 2 wonderful characters going. So please don't ever think of selling Edge Lane Allotments to the developers again.

Dublin Billy swears by his Kale juice, we are not too sure, but then again he has beaten cancer, heart attacks and brain bleeds, so there must be something in it!!!!

Edge Lane Allotments

I don't know if you are aware of the current situation with regard to Edge Lane Allotments?

As it stands we have had the all clear from the secretary of state to regenerate the allotment site. Eamonn  O'Rouke, head of parks and leisure,  has spoken to me and has said they are just waiting for the legal side of things to be finished then we will have written confirmation that the CPO (Compulsory Purchase Order) has been withdrawn.

So!!!!!!!!

Question for Sean re: CIBA

Marilyn emailed to ask Sean:

"I believe in the cleaner greener Manchester but has Openshaw been forgotten, for more than a year residents of Openshaw Village has put up with the dust and noise during the demolision of CIBA, now work seems to have ground to a halt as there has been no activity on site for 2 weeks.

First phase of Dreyfus Village starts 2010 does that mean the mountains of crushed rubble on Clayton Lane facing the houses can continue to blow over the housing estate for another 2 years?
